The holiday surge snatching up auspicious flowers, bakkwa, and all other New Year accessories has all but subsided. Chinatown today is a gala of souvenir shops, restaurants, and sleazy massage parlours. These antique-looking ornaments are just sad replicas of what was formerly here, and reside at the exit of the Chinatown Heritage Centre.
